ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF REMEMBRANCE

The School of Remembrance is a living space of return.

A place where we come back into relationship—with our bodies, our ancestors, the land, and the spiritual technologies that have sustained our people across time.

This is not a school in the traditional sense.
It is a container of initiation, practice, and remembrance.

~ Our Work ~

At the School of Remembrance, we guide practitioners and those on the path of healing into deeper relationship with:

  • Ancestral and diasporic spiritual traditions
  • Sacred earth medicines and herbalism (clinical and spiritual)
  • Ritual, ceremony, and spiritual hygiene
  • Somatics and the body as a site of memory
  • Divination, intuition, and energetic discernment

This is work that is meant to be lived—not just learned.

We move beyond surface-level spirituality into embodied practice, cultural context, and real relationship with the medicine.

~ Our Approach ~

Our approach is rooted in the understanding that:

  • Your medicine is not something you acquire—it is something you remember
  • Healing is both personal and ancestral
  • Spiritual work must be grounded in ethics, lineage, and responsibility
  • The body, the land, and the spirit are not separate

We do not teach extraction.
We do not teach performance.

We teach practice, integrity, and right relationship.

 The Container ~

This is a year-long journey held by a collective of practitioners, healers, and lineage carriers rooted in African diasporic and earth-based traditions.

Within this space, you will be:

  • Guided through structured teachings and experiential practices
  • Supported in community with others on the path
  • Invited into deeper levels of self-inquiry, discipline, and devotion

This is a space that asks for your presence.

 Who This Is For ~

The School of Remembrance is for those who feel the call to:

  • Deepen an existing spiritual or healing practice
  • Reconnect with ancestral roots and diasporic traditions
  • Work with plant medicine, ritual, and spirit in a grounded way
  • Step into greater responsibility in their path and their service

This is not an introductory space.

It is for those who are ready to go deeper.

 A Living Ecosystem ~

The School of Remembrance is one branch of a larger living ecosystem—Yabisi.

Through our Centro, Botanica, teachings, and community spaces, we are committed to:

  • Reclaiming ancestral knowledge
  • Making these practices accessible with integrity
  • Supporting collective healing and remembrance

 Final Note ~

This work is a return.

A return to the roots.
A return to the body.
A return to the ways of being that have always been ours.

We are honored to walk this path with you.
